Ingredients
  

  • 1. Lightly grease a flat baking dish, clean countertop, or use silicone molds.
  • 2. In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup, water, Kool-Aid powder, and salt. Stir to mix well.
  • 3. Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring frequently. Let simmer for 2 minutes, then remove from heat.
  • 4. Sprinkle gelatin slowly into the hot mixture while stirring continuously to avoid clumping.
  • 5. Add vanilla extract and mix until smooth and glossy.
  • 6. Let the mixture cool for 10 minutes. Pour into prepared molds or surface and shape into ropes using a spatula.
  • 7. Allow to set at room temperature for 1 hour until firm. Cut into desired lengths.
  • 8. Optional: Roll in granulated sugar for a sweet coating. Enjoy or store for later use.
