Ingredients
Scale
- 1.5 lbs Salmon fillet, skin on or off
- 1/4 cup Honey
- 1/4 cup Soy Sauce (low sodium preferred)
- 2 tbsp Rice Vinegar
- 2 tbsp Garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp Ginger, minced
- 1 tsp Sesame Oil
- 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
- Step 2: In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, minced garlic, minced ginger, sesame oil, and black pepper. This is your honey garlic glaze.
- Step 3: Place the salmon fillet on the prepared baking sheet. Pour the honey garlic glaze evenly over the salmon, ensuring it's coated on all sides.
- Step 4: Bake the salmon for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. The cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of your fillet. For extra crispy skin (if using skin-on salmon), broil for the last 1-2 minutes, keeping a close eye to prevent burning.
- Step 5: Remove from the oven and let rest for 2-3 minutes before serving. Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Reheat gently in the microwave or oven to avoid drying out the salmon; a quick blast of the broiler can restore some crispiness.
- Serve this perfectly crispy salmon over a bed of fluffy rice or quinoa, with a side of steamed Asian greens for a complete meal.
- For an extra flavorful glaze, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the honey garlic mixture for a touch of heat.
