Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground chicken
- 1 lb chicken sausage, casings removed
- 1 cup cooked chicken, shredded or diced
- 1 cup pepperoni slices
- 1 (14.1 ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained
- 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 (10 ounce) package refrigerated pizza dough
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a 9-inch deep-dish pizza pan.
- Step 2: In a large bowl, gently combine ground chicken, chicken sausage, cooked chicken, and pepperoni.
- Step 3: Spread half of the pizza dough into the prepared pan, pressing it up the sides to form a crust. Top with the chicken mixture.
- Step 4: In a separate bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, oregano, and garlic powder. Pour this mixture evenly over the chicken. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
- Step 5: Top with the remaining pizza dough, sealing the edges to the bottom crust. Crimp the edges to create a decorative seal.
- Step 6: Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly. Let cool slightly before slicing and serving.
Notes
- Store leftover pie tightly wrapped in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, reheating individual slices is best for maintaining texture.
- For a warm, gooey center, reheat slices in a microwave for 30-45 seconds, or until heated through.
- Serve a slice alongside a crisp side salad for a balanced and satisfying meal.
- To prevent a soggy bottom, pre-bake the bottom crust for 8-10 minutes before adding the filling.
