Ingredients
- All-purpose flour: 2 1/2 cups
- Ground chicken: 1 pound
- Cooked chicken hamburger patties: 2 patties, crumbled
- Cooked chicken sausage: 1 cup, sliced
- Chicken pepperoni: 1/2 cup, sliced
- Pizza sauce: 1 (15 ounce) can
- Shredded mozzarella cheese: 3 cups
- Olive oil: 2 tablespoons
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease a 9-inch deep-dish pie pan with olive oil.
- Step 2: In a large bowl, mix flour with 1 teaspoon salt. Add 1/2 cup cold butter, cut into small pieces, and use a pastry blender to cut the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Gradually add 1/2 cup ice water, mixing until a dough forms.
- Step 3: Press the dough evenly into the prepared pie pan, forming a crust up the sides. Blind bake the crust for 15 minutes to prevent a soggy bottom.
- Step 4: In a skillet, cook the ground chicken until browned. Drain any excess grease. Spread a layer of pizza sauce over the pre-baked crust. Layer with half of the mozzarella cheese, crumbled chicken hamburger patties, sliced chicken sausage, chicken pepperoni, browned ground chicken and remaining mozzarella cheese.
- Step 5: Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly. Let cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- For best leftovers, store individual slices in airtight containers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Reheat slices in a 350°F (175°C) oven or toaster oven until warmed through and the cheese is bubbly again, preventing a soggy texture.
- Serve each slice with a sprinkle of fresh oregano or basil to brighten the rich, savory flavors.
- Consider adding a pinch of red pepper flakes to the ground chicken while browning for a welcome hint of spice to cut through the richness.
