Delicious taco rice bowl with doritos recipe recipe with detailed instructions and nutritional information.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • Ground beef: 1 pound
  • Taco seasoning: 1 packet
  • Cooked rice: 2 cups
  • Shredded cheddar cheese: 1 cup
  • Crushed Doritos (Nacho Cheese flavor recommended): 1 bag (about 9-10 ounces)
  • Diced tomatoes: 1 cup
  • Shredded lettuce: 2 cups
  • Sour cream: 1/2 cup

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat. Drain off any excess grease.
  2. Step 2: Add the taco seasoning to the cooked ground beef and stir in 1/2 cup of water. Simmer for 5-7 minutes, or until the liquid is absorbed.
  3. Step 3: Divide the cooked rice evenly among bowls.
  4. Step 4: Top the rice with the seasoned ground beef, shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and shredded cheddar cheese.
  5. Step 5: Sprinkle the crushed Doritos over the top of each bowl.
  6. Step 6: Add a dollop of sour cream to each bowl and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Store leftover components separately in airtight containers to prevent the Doritos from getting soggy.
  • Reheat the ground beef and rice in the microwave; add fresh toppings after warming.
  • For a spicier kick, try using Flamin' Hot Doritos instead of Nacho Cheese!
  • Don't be shy with the toppings – a generous layer of cheese and Doritos really makes the dish sing.
