Delicious sugar cookie cheesecake – a sweet and creamy dessert delight recipe with detailed instructions and nutritional information.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar cookie crumbs
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • Sugar cookies, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C). In a medium bowl, combine sugar cookie crumbs and melted butter. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to create the crust.
  2. Step 2: In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy.
  3. Step 3: Mix in vanilla extract, then beat in eggs one at a time until just combined. Stir in sour cream until smooth.
  4. Step 4: Pour the cream cheese mixture over the sugar cookie crust.
  5. Step 5: Bake for 55-65 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center is just slightly jiggly.
  6. Step 6: Turn off the oven and let the cheesecake cool in the oven with the door slightly ajar for 1 hour. This helps prevent cracking. Remove from oven, cover, and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, before serving. Garnish with sugar cookies, if desired.

Notes

  • Store leftover cheesecake tightly covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days to maintain its creamy texture.
  • While not recommended, a small slice can be gently warmed in the microwave for a few seconds for a softer texture, but avoid overheating.
  • Serve chilled with fresh berries or a dusting of powdered sugar for an extra touch of elegance.
  • For a more pronounced sugar cookie flavor, use a high-quality, vanilla-rich sugar cookie for the crust.
