Ingredients
Scale
- 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup finely chopped pickled jalapeños, plus 2 tablespoons of the juice
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped red onion
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (or more, to taste)
Instructions
- Step 1: In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and mayonnaise. Mix until smooth and creamy.
- Step 2: Stir in the chopped jalapeños (including 2 tablespoons of the jalapeño juice), red onion, lime juice, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper. Mix well to combine all ingredients thoroughly.
- Step 3: Taste the dip and adjust seasoning as needed. Add more cayenne pepper for extra heat, or more lime juice for a brighter flavor.
- Step 4: Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. This also allows the dip to chill and firm up slightly.
- Step 5: Serve chilled with your favorite tortilla chips, crackers, or vegetables.
Notes
- Store leftover Spicy Sailor's Dip in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- For a warmer, smoother dip, gently microwave for 15-second intervals, stirring until desired consistency is reached.
- This zesty dip is fantastic served alongside grilled shrimp or fish tacos for an extra kick.
- To prevent overly intense heat, add the cayenne pepper gradually, tasting as you go, to achieve your preferred spice level.
