Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup Pink Lemonade (store-bought or homemade)
- 1/2 cup Water
- 1/4 cup Sugar (or to taste, adjust based on lemonade sweetness)
- 1/4 cup Unflavored Gelatin
- 1/4 teaspoon Sea Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Potassium Chloride (optional, for added electrolytes)
- 1/4 teaspoon Magnesium Citrate (optional, for added electrolytes)
- Red food coloring (optional, for deeper pink color)
Instructions
- Step 1: In a small saucepan, combine the pink lemonade, water, and sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the sugar is completely dissolved. Do not boil.
- Step 2: Remove the saucepan from the heat. Sprinkle the unflavored gelatin over the warm lemonade mixture. Let it sit for 1-2 minutes to soften.
- Step 3: Stir the mixture gently until the gelatin is completely dissolved and the liquid is smooth. Stir in the sea salt, potassium chloride (if using), and magnesium citrate (if using). Add a drop or two of red food coloring if desired for a more vibrant pink.
- Step 4: Grease a silicone mold (gummy bear molds, ice cube trays, etc.) with a little bit of cooking spray or coconut oil. Pour the mixture evenly into the prepared mold.
- Step 5: Refrigerate for at least 2-3 hours, or until the gummies are completely set.
- Step 6: Once set, gently remove the gummies from the mold. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
Notes
- Store these vibrant pink lemonade gummies in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week to maintain their freshness and prevent them from drying out.
- If your gummy mixture is too thick to pour easily after adding the gelatin, gently warm it over low heat for a few seconds—stirring constantly—to reduce its viscosity.
- Serve these refreshing electrolyte gummies as a post-workout treat or a healthy, fun snack for kids.
- For extra zing, consider using freshly squeezed pink lemonade for an even more intense flavor profile.
