Ingredients
- Frozen French Fries: 1 large bag (26-32 oz)
- Ribeye Steak: 1 pound, thinly sliced
- Yellow Onion: 1 medium, thinly sliced
- Green Bell Pepper: 1 medium, thinly sliced
- Provolone Cheese: 8 slices
- Oil: 2 tablespoons
- Salt: 1/2 teaspoon
- Black Pepper: 1/4 teaspoon
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven or air fryer according to french fry package instructions. Cook fries until golden brown and crispy.
- Step 2: While fries are cooking, heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add sliced steak and cook, breaking it up with a spatula, until browned. Season with salt and pepper.
- Step 3: Add sliced onions and bell peppers to the skillet with the steak. Cook until vegetables are tender, about 5-7 minutes.
- Step 4: Once the fries are cooked, arrange them on a large platter or baking sheet.
- Step 5: Top the fries with the steak and vegetable mixture.
- Step 6: Place provolone cheese slices over the steak and vegetables. Broil for 1-2 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly. Serve immediately.
Notes
- Store leftover fries and steak separately in airtight containers in the fridge for best results.
- Reheat fries in the oven or air fryer to maintain crispness, then microwave the steak mixture briefly before combining.
- Serve these loaded fries with a side of spicy ketchup or a creamy garlic aioli for dipping.
- For extra flavor, marinate the thinly sliced ribeye in Worcestershire sauce and garlic powder for at least 30 minutes before cooking.
