Delicious philly steak & cheese fries recipe with detailed instructions and nutritional information.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • Frozen French Fries: 1 large bag (26-32 oz)
  • Ribeye Steak: 1 pound, thinly sliced
  • Yellow Onion: 1 medium, thinly sliced
  • Green Bell Pepper: 1 medium, thinly sliced
  • Provolone Cheese: 8 slices
  • Oil: 2 tablespoons
  • Salt: 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black Pepper: 1/4 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Preheat oven or air fryer according to french fry package instructions. Cook fries until golden brown and crispy.
  2. Step 2: While fries are cooking, heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add sliced steak and cook, breaking it up with a spatula, until browned. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Step 3: Add sliced onions and bell peppers to the skillet with the steak. Cook until vegetables are tender, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Step 4: Once the fries are cooked, arrange them on a large platter or baking sheet.
  5. Step 5: Top the fries with the steak and vegetable mixture.
  6. Step 6: Place provolone cheese slices over the steak and vegetables. Broil for 1-2 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Store leftover fries and steak separately in airtight containers in the fridge for best results.
  • Reheat fries in the oven or air fryer to maintain crispness, then microwave the steak mixture briefly before combining.
  • Serve these loaded fries with a side of spicy ketchup or a creamy garlic aioli for dipping.
  • For extra flavor, marinate the thinly sliced ribeye in Worcestershire sauce and garlic powder for at least 30 minutes before cooking.
