Ingredients
- Ground beef: 1 pound
- Lasagna noodles: 1 box (oven-ready preferred)
- Ricotta cheese: 15 ounces
- Cream cheese: 8 ounces, softened
- Mozzarella cheese: 2 cups, shredded
- Parmesan cheese: 1/2 cup, grated
- Heavy cream: 1/2 cup
- Marinara sauce: 24 ounces
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat. Drain off any excess grease and stir in half of the marinara sauce. Set aside.
- Step 2: In a large bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, cream cheese, heavy cream, and parmesan cheese. Mix until smooth and creamy.
- Step 3: Spread a thin layer of the remaining marinara sauce on the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Step 4: Layer lasagna noodles, then half of the meat sauce, then half of the cheese mixture, and then sprinkle with half of the mozzarella cheese. Repeat layers again.
- Step 5: Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for another 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the lasagna is heated through.
Notes
- For easier slicing, let the lasagna rest for at least 15 minutes after baking before serving.
- Store leftover lasagna in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Reheat individual slices in the microwave or bake in a preheated oven until warmed through.
- To prevent the top from browning too quickly, broil for the last few minutes of baking.
