Delicious honey garlic chicken chicken chicken sausage sweet potatoes recipe with detailed instructions and nutritional information.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • Chicken breasts: 2 lbs, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • Chicken sausage: 1 lb, sliced
  • Sweet potatoes: 2 large, peeled and cubed
  • Honey: 1/4 cup
  • Garlic: 6 cloves, minced
  • Soy sauce: 2 tablespoons
  • Olive oil: 2 tablespoons
  • Red pepper flakes: 1/4 teaspoon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Toss the cubed sweet potatoes with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, salt, and pepper. Spread them in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  2. Step 2: Bake the sweet potatoes for 20 minutes, then remove from oven and set aside.
  3. Step 3: While sweet potatoes are baking, in a large bowl, whisk together the honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, red pepper flakes (if using), and remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Add the chicken pieces and sausage slices to the bowl and toss to coat evenly.
  4. Step 4: Add the coated chicken and sausage to the baking sheet with the partially cooked sweet potatoes, spreading everything into a single layer.
  5. Step 5: Return the baking sheet to the oven and bake for another 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the sweet potatoes are tender.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • For best results, reheat in the oven at 350°F until warmed through to maintain the sweet potato texture.
  • Serve over a bed of quinoa or rice to soak up the delicious honey-garlic sauce.
  • To prevent sticking, consider lining your baking sheet with parchment paper for easier cleanup and evenly cooked sweet potatoes.
