Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 large head broccoli, cut into florets
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce (low sodium preferred)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Wash and dry the broccoli florets.
- Step 2: In a large bowl, toss the broccoli florets with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper. Spread them evenly on a large baking sheet.
- Step 3: In a separate bowl, melt the butter. Add the honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic. Whisk until well combined.
- Step 4: Arrange the shrimp evenly over the broccoli on the baking sheet. Pour the honey garlic butter sauce over the shrimp and broccoli, ensuring everything is coated.
- Step 5: Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the shrimp is pink and cooked through and the broccoli is tender-crisp. The cooking time may vary depending on your oven and the size of the shrimp.
- Step 6: Remove from the oven and serve immediately.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Reheat gently in the microwave or oven to avoid overcooking the shrimp and drying out the broccoli.
- Serve this dish over rice or quinoa for a complete and satisfying meal.
- For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the honey garlic butter sauce before pouring it over the shrimp and broccoli.
