Ingredients
- Olive oil: 1/4 cup
- Lemon juice: 1/4 cup
- Soy sauce: 2 tablespoons
- Worcestershire sauce: 1 tablespoon
- Dijon mustard: 1 tablespoon
- Garlic, minced: 2 cloves
- Dried Italian herbs: 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper: 1/2 teaspoon
Instructions
- Step 1: In a medium bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, Italian herbs, and black pepper.
- Step 2: Place chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish.
- Step 3: Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring it is fully coated.
- Step 4: Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours. The longer it marinates, the more flavorful the chicken will be.
- Step 5: Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
- Step 6: Remove chicken from the marinade, discarding the used marinade. Grill the chicken for 6-8 minutes per side, or until cooked through and internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
Notes
- Marinated chicken can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days after grilling.
- For best results, gently reheat grilled chicken in a skillet with a little olive oil over medium-low heat to retain moisture.
- Serve this grilled chicken sliced over a vibrant salad or tucked into warm pita bread with your favorite toppings.
- For an extra flavor boost, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the marinade for a subtle kick.
