Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb Chicken thighs, boneless, skinless, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1/4 cup BBQ sauce, your favorite brand
- 2 tbsp Honey
- 2 tbsp Butter, unsalted
- 4 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
- 1/2 tsp Smoked paprika
- 8 Small flour tortillas
Instructions
- Step 1: In a bowl, combine the chicken pieces with olive oil and smoked paprika. Toss well to coat evenly.
- Step 2: Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute, until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
- Step 3: Add the chicken to the skillet and cook until browned and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes.
- Step 4: Stir in the BBQ sauce and honey. Simmer for 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken and coat the chicken.
- Step 5: Warm the tortillas according to package directions.
- Step 6: Fill each tortilla with the garlic butter honey BBQ chicken. Serve immediately.
Notes
- Store leftover chicken filling in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- For best results, reheat the chicken filling in a skillet over medium heat with a splash of water or broth to prevent drying.
- Garnish your tacos with a sprinkle of cilantro and a drizzle of lime juice for extra freshness.
- Don't overcrowd the skillet when cooking the chicken; cook in batches if necessary to ensure even browning and prevent steaming.
