Ingredients
Scale
- 8 slices of bread (white or brioche)
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 large eggs, beaten
Instructions
- Step 1: In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy. This will be your cheesecake filling.
- Step 2: Spread a generous layer of the cheesecake mixture on four slices of bread. Top each with sliced strawberries and then place another slice of bread on top to create a sandwich.
- Step 3: Set up a dredging station by placing the flour in one shallow dish, the beaten eggs in another, and the breadcrumbs in a third.
- Step 4: Carefully dip each sandwich first into the flour, then into the beaten eggs, and finally coat it with breadcrumbs until fully covered.
- Step 5: Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Once hot, carefully add the sandwiches and fry until golden brown and crispy on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels before serving. Enjoy your delicious fried strawberry cheesecake sandwiches!
Notes
- For optimal freshness, store any leftover fried strawberry cheesecake sandwiches in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two days.
- To enjoy these treats warm again, reheat them in a toaster oven or skillet over low heat until they are warmed through and the coating stays crispy.
- Serve your fried sandwiches with a drizzle of chocolate sauce or a dusting of additional powdered sugar for an extra touch of sweetness.
- For a richer flavor, consider adding a pinch of cinnamon to the breadcrumbs before coating the sandwiches, giving them a delightful twist.
