Delicious fourth of july chocolate-dipped pretzels recipe with detailed instructions and nutritional information.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 ounces pretzels rods
  • 12 ounces milk chocolate chips
  • 4 ounces white chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup red candy melts
  • 1/4 cup blue candy melts
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Red, white, and blue sprinkles (optional)
  • Patriotic-themed sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. This will prevent the pretzels from sticking.
  2. Step 2: Melt the milk chocolate chips and vegetable oil in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until completely smooth. Do the same with the white chocolate chips in a separate bowl. Melt the red and blue candy melts separately in small bowls following the same method.
  3. Step 3: Dip each pretzel rod about halfway into the melted milk chocolate, ensuring it's fully coated. Remove and let the excess chocolate drip off before placing it on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Step 4: While the milk chocolate is still wet, drizzle melted white chocolate over the dipped pretzels using a spoon or piping bag for a more refined look.
  5. Step 5: Add small dots of red and blue melted candy to the pretzels using a toothpick or small spoon, creating a patriotic design. Sprinkle with red, white, and blue sprinkles or patriotic-themed sprinkles if desired.
  6. Step 6: Refrigerate the pretzels for at least 15 minutes to allow the chocolate to set completely before serving.

Notes

  • Store the pretzels in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or in the refrigerator for up to a week to maintain their crispness.
  • For a slightly softer chocolate, let the pretzels sit at room temperature for a few minutes before serving.
  • Arrange the finished pretzels in a festive bowl or on a platter for a visually appealing Fourth of July treat.
  • To prevent the candy melts from seizing, make sure your bowls and utensils are completely dry before melting.
