Delicious easter rice krispie treats recipe recipe with detailed instructions and nutritional information.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 cups Marshmallows (mini marshmallows preferred)
  • 1/2 cup Butter (1 stick)
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 1 cup Pastel-colored M&Ms candies
  • 1/2 cup Mini Chocolate Eggs
  • 1/4 cup White Chocolate chips (melted)
  • 1/4 cup Yellow Candy melts (melted)
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract (optional)

Instructions

  1. Step 1: In a large saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Add the marshmallows and stir constantly until completely melted and smooth. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla extract (if using).
  2. Step 2: Add the Rice Krispies cereal to the marshmallow mixture and stir gently until evenly coated.
  3. Step 3: Gently fold in the pastel-colored M&Ms candies and mini chocolate eggs.
  4. Step 4: Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking pan. Pour the Rice Krispie mixture into the prepared pan and press down firmly and evenly with a spatula or wax paper to create an even layer.
  5. Step 5: Drizzle the melted white chocolate and yellow candy melts over the top of the Rice Krispie treats, creating a decorative Easter design. Let cool completely before cutting into squares.
  6. Step 6: Once completely cool, cut into squares and serve.

Notes

  • Store leftover treats in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days for optimal freshness.
  • For a warm, gooey treat, briefly microwave individual squares for 10-15 seconds.
  • Serve these Easter Rice Krispie treats alongside a refreshing spring beverage like lemonade or iced tea for a delightful Easter brunch or dessert.
  • To prevent sticking, lightly grease your spatula or wax paper before pressing the mixture into the pan, ensuring even distribution and easy cutting.
