Ingredients
Scale
- 1 package (16 ounces) chocolate sandwich cookies
- 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 (8 ounce) container Cool Whip whipped topping, thawed
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/4 cup milk chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup gummy worms
- 2 tablespoons chocolate syrup
Instructions
- Step 1: Crush chocolate sandwich cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor or by placing them in a large zip-top bag and crushing with a rolling pin. Set aside.
- Step 2: In a medium bowl, combine sweetened condensed milk, Cool Whip, and peanut butter. Mix until smooth and creamy.
- Step 3: Gently fold in the crushed chocolate sandwich cookies until evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
- Step 4: Pour the mixture into a 9×13 inch baking dish. Spread evenly.
- Step 5: Sprinkle milk chocolate chips, mini chocolate chips, and gummy worms over the top of the mixture to resemble "dirt" and "worms." Drizzle chocolate syrup over the top to create a realistic look.
- Step 6: Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the mixture to firm up.
Notes
- Store leftover Easter Dirt Cake Casserole in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- For a slightly softer texture, let the casserole sit at room temperature for 15-20 minutes before serving.
- Serve this fun dessert in individual cups for a cute and portioned treat, perfect for Easter baskets.
- To prevent the gummy worms from sinking, add them to the top just before serving.
