Ingredients
- Large Flour Tortillas: 4 count
- Frozen Crispy Chicken Tenders: 8 tenders (about 12 oz)
- Turkey Bacon: 4 slices
- Ranch Dressing: 1/2 cup
- Shredded Romaine Lettuce: 1 cup
- Shredded Cheddar Jack Cheese: 1/2 cup
- Cooking Spray or Oil: 1 tablespoon
Instructions
- Step 1: Cook the crispy chicken tenders according to package directions (usually baked at 400°F or air fried) until golden brown and cooked through. Once finished, slice each tender into bite-sized pieces and set aside.
- Step 2: While the chicken is cooking, prepare the turkey bacon. Heat a skillet over medium heat, spray with cooking spray, and cook the bacon slices until crisp (about 4-5 minutes per side). Remove the bacon and chop it into small crumbles.
- Step 3: Lightly warm the flour tortillas in a dry skillet over low heat for about 30 seconds per side, or microwave briefly, to make them pliable and easier to wrap without tearing.
- Step 4: To assemble the wraps, lay a warmed tortilla flat. Spread 2 tablespoons of ranch dressing down the center, leaving a 1-inch border on all sides. Layer with 1/4 cup of shredded lettuce, followed by the sliced chicken pieces.
- Step 5: Sprinkle the chicken with the turkey bacon crumbles and 2 tablespoons of shredded cheese. Fold in the sides of the tortilla, then tightly roll the bottom edge up over the filling to create a firm wrap. Repeat with remaining ingredients and serve immediately.
Notes
- If making ahead, store the cooked components (chicken, bacon, cheese) separately from the dressing and lettuce; only assemble the wraps just before serving to maintain the perfect crunch of the tortilla and greens.
- For the best results when reheating a leftover wrap, carefully unroll it, remove the lettuce and ranch, heat the remaining tortilla and filling in a toaster oven until warmed through, then add fresh dressing and greens.
- Ensure your turkey bacon is truly crisp, almost brittle, before crumbling; this textural contrast is key to balancing the softness of the tortilla and the creaminess of the filling.
- Pair these rich, savory wraps with a light, cool side like fresh cucumber slices tossed in a touch of vinegar or a small cup of bright tomato soup to cut through the richness of the ranch and cheese.
