Ingredients
Scale
- All-purpose flour 3 cups
- Granulated sugar 1/2 cup
- Baking powder 4 teaspoons
- Salt 1 teaspoon
- Milk 1 1/4 cups
- Vegetable oil 1/4 cup
- Vanilla extract 1 teaspoon
- Cinnamon sugar 1/2 cup (for coating)
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
- Step 2: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Step 3: In a separate bowl, combine the milk, oil, and vanilla extract. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Step 4: Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread evenly.
- Step 5: Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a wooden skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Step 6: Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely. Brush the top and sides with melted butter and sprinkle generously with cinnamon sugar. Slice and serve.
Notes
- Store leftover Cinnamon Sugar Donut Bread in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days to maintain its soft texture.
- For a warm and gooey treat, microwave individual slices for 15-20 seconds before serving.
- Serve warm slices with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream for an extra indulgent dessert.
- Don't overmix the batter; a few lumps are okay, as overmixing can result in a tougher bread.
