- 1 (10 ounce) package marshmallows

- 5 cups Rice Krispies cereal
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
- 1 cup dried cherries
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans (optional)
Instructions
- Step 1: In a large saucepan over low heat, melt butter. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted and smooth. Remove from heat.
- Step 2: Stir in vanilla extract. Add Rice Krispies cereal and dried cherries; mix until well coated. If using, stir in pecans.
- Step 3: Press the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking pan.
- Step 4: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine semisweet and milk chocolate chips. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until melted and smooth.
- Step 5: Pour melted chocolate over the Rice Krispies treat mixture and spread evenly.
- Step 6: Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the chocolate to set before cutting into squares.
