Delicious chinese beef and broccoli recipe with detailed instructions and nutritional information.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • Beef sirloin, thinly sliced: 1 pound
  • Broccoli florets: 4 cups
  • Soy sauce: 1/4 cup
  • Oyster sauce: 2 tablespoons
  • Cornstarch: 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic, minced: 2 cloves
  • Ginger, minced: 1 teaspoon
  • Vegetable oil: 2 tablespoons

Instructions

  1. Step 1: In a bowl, marinate the sliced beef with 1 tablespoon of soy sauce and 1 tablespoon of cornstarch. Let it sit for 15 minutes.
  2. Step 2: In a separate bowl, whisk together the remaining soy sauce, oyster sauce, and 1 tablespoon of cornstarch. Set aside.
  3. Step 3: Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry until browned, about 2-3 minutes. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
  4. Step 4: Add the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil to the skillet. Add the minced garlic and ginger, and stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Step 5: Add the broccoli florets to the skillet and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until slightly tender-crisp.
  6. Step 6: Pour the sauce mixture over the broccoli and bring to a simmer, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens. Return the cooked beef to the skillet and toss everything together until well coated. Serve immediately over rice.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, ensuring maximum freshness.
  • Reheat gently in a skillet or microwave, adding a splash of water if needed to prevent the beef from drying out.
  • Serve this vibrant dish over fluffy steamed rice or quinoa to soak up all that delicious sauce.
  • Chef's tip: For extra tender beef, slice thinly against the grain and don't overcrowd the pan while stir-frying.
