Delicious cajun steak bites and cheesy garlic shells skillet recipe with detailed instructions and nutritional information.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1 (14.5 oz) can of jumbo shells pasta

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Season the steak cubes generously with Cajun seasoning. Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Brown the steak cubes on all sides, about 5-7 minutes total. Remove steak from skillet and set aside.
  2. Step 2: Reduce heat to medium. Add butter to the skillet and melt. Add minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds, or until fragrant, being careful not to burn.
  3. Step 3: Stir in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Reduce heat to low, and stir in cheddar and Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  4. Step 4: Add the cooked jumbo shells pasta to the cheesy garlic sauce, gently stirring to coat.
  5. Step 5: Return the seared steak cubes to the skillet, tossing gently to combine with the pasta and cheese sauce. Garnish with chopped green onions. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • For reheating, add a splash of milk or cream to prevent the sauce from drying out before microwaving or baking.
  • Serve this hearty skillet dish with a side of crusty bread for dipping into the delicious cheesy garlic sauce.
  • To enhance the Cajun flavor, consider adding a pinch of cayenne pepper to the steak seasoning before searing.
