Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 cup butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 1 (14.5 oz) can refrigerated biscuits, separated
Instructions
- Step 1: Season steak cubes generously with Cajun seasoning. Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Sear steak cubes on all sides until browned, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove steak from skillet and set aside.
- Step 2: Reduce heat to medium. Add butter to the skillet and melt. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute, or until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.
- Step 3: Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in cheddar and Monterey Jack cheeses until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Step 4: Place separated biscuits around the edges of the skillet, nestling them into the cheesy garlic sauce. Return steak cubes to the skillet, nestling them into the sauce and biscuits.
- Step 5: Transfer the skillet to a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until biscuits are golden brown and steak is cooked to your desired internal temperature.
- Step 6: Remove from oven and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Reheat gently in the microwave or oven until heated through, avoiding overcooking the steak.
- Serve immediately with a side of crusty bread to soak up the delicious cheesy garlic sauce.
- For extra flavor, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the Cajun seasoning or a dash of Worcestershire sauce to the cream sauce.
