Ingredients
- Soy Sauce: 1/4 cup
- Honey: 2 tablespoons
- Cornstarch: 1 tablespoon
- Rice Vinegar: 1 tablespoon
- Sesame Oil: 1 teaspoon
- Ground Ginger: 1/2 teaspoon
Instructions
- Step 1: In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, cornstarch, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and ground ginger.
- Step 2: Ensure all ingredients are well combined and the cornstarch is fully dissolved. This will prevent clumping during cooking.
- Step 3: Set the sauce aside. It is now ready to be added to your stir-fry during the last few minutes of cooking.
- Step 4: Add the sauce to your stir-fry when the vegetables and protein are almost cooked through.
- Step 5: Stir continuously to coat all the ingredients evenly.
- Step 6: Continue cooking for 1-2 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened to your desired consistency. Serve immediately.
Notes
- Store leftover sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- For a smoother consistency after refrigerating, whisk the sauce vigorously before adding it to your stir-fry.
- This sauce pairs perfectly with chicken and broccoli, but feel free to experiment with your favorite veggies and protein!
- Don't skip the cornstarch dissolution – it's key to a glossy, lump-free sauce that clings beautifully to your stir-fry.
