Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup Mascarpone cheese
- 1 cup Ladyfingers, crushed
- 1/4 cup Strong brewed coffee, cooled
- 2 tablespoons Coffee liqueur (e.g., Kahlua)
- 2 tablespoons Unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoon Powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup Semisweet chocolate chips, melted
Instructions
- Step 1: In a medium bowl, combine the mascarpone cheese, crushed ladyfingers, cooled coffee, and coffee liqueur. Mix well until everything is thoroughly combined.
- Step 2: Roll the mixture into approximately 1-inch balls. You can refrigerate the mixture for 15 minutes for easier handling if it's too soft.
- Step 3: Place the cocoa powder and powdered sugar in separate shallow bowls.
- Step 4: Roll each ball in the melted chocolate, then immediately roll in either the cocoa powder or powdered sugar, coating evenly.
- Step 5: Refrigerate the tiramisu balls for at least 15 minutes to allow them to firm up before serving.
Notes
- Store leftover tiramisu balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- These are best served chilled, so no reheating is needed!
- A dusting of extra cocoa powder right before serving adds a touch of elegance.
- For a deeper coffee flavor, soak the crushed ladyfingers in the coffee liqueur and cooled coffee mixture for a few minutes before adding the mascarpone.
